There is some brilliant stuff coming from Rome now. In fact there always was good stuff coming from Rome. Papal Encyclicals (Pope’s teaching)

Every Pope has written messages for us but sadly most of them never got to the people.  In fact some of us priests never saw them, not to mention reading them.

The present one LAUDATO S (praise be to you.) about the environment is mind blowing and is used even by the United Nations.

£5 a copy if you want one.  I hope to use it a lot over the next few months.

So here goes:-

No 10. “St Francis was particularly concerned for God’s creation and for the poor and the outcast.  He loved and was deeply loved, for his joy, his generous self-giving, his openheartedness. He was a mystic and a pilgrim who lived in simplicity and in wonderful

harmony with God, with others, with nature and with himself.

He shows us just how inseparable the bond is between

  1. CONCERN FOR NATURE
  2. JUSTICE FOR THE POOR
  3. COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY

      4. AND INTERIOR PEACE
